Job Description Availability for a Senior Care Assistant within the Nottingham Area.

We need an experienced Senior Care Assistant that will be able to assist an existing team within this lovely care home based in Eastwood.

You will be expected to carry out the following key responsibilities:
• Providing the highest level of personal care and attention to the service users, following care plans carefully whilst ensuring that all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive.
• Ensuring adherence to all aspects of Health and Safety including COSSH, Food Hygiene and Infection control.
• Administering medication to service users, accurately maintaining appropriate records for both.
• To liaise with other care professionals relating to the care needs of the residents.
• To always respect and maintain confidentiality of resident’s personal information, this includes resident’s behaviour and actions and any incidents that may occur during the day.
• Encourage, assist and support service users to participate in leisure activities, ensuring their social and emotional needs are met. This also includes escorting residents to outside appointments and leisure outings.
• Responsible for undertaking light cleaning duties as needed and ensuring that the Home is kept clean, pleasant and welcoming always.

Hourly Rate: The hourly rate is between £14.00 to £15.00 per hour. Holiday entitlement being accrued, up to a maximum of 28 days per year.
Working Hours: You will be working from 2200 to 0700. There are other shifts available on request.

Experience & Qualifications

To be suitable for this position you must have:

– An enhanced DBS dated within the last 6 months or on the update service or the facilities to be able to pay for one upfront.
– Have a two year referenceable work history.
– Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving & Handling training, if not we can assist you with this also.
– At least 3 months experience within a similar setting.
