We are seeking adaptable Care Assistants to cover daytime and overnight shifts across North Derbyshire every Saturday and Sunday.
Whether you prefer the vibrant energy of daytime care or the quiet, focused pace of waking nights, we offer flexible weekend patterns that suit your lifestyle while delivering vital support to our local community.
What Your Weekend Looks Like:
Day Shift Focus:
Support individuals with morning or evening routines, personal care, mobility, and dressing.
Assist with mealtime service (breakfast, lunch, or tea) and encourage regular hydration.
Facilitate weekend social activities, garden visits, and light hobbies.
Night Shift Focus:
Conduct discreet, regular safety and welfare checks throughout the night.
Respond promptly to call bells, helping with bathroom visits, repositioning, or easing nighttime restlessness.
Help late-to-bed individuals settle down and assist early risers before the morning shift arrives.
Shared Duties:
Maintain precise, real-time care notes on digital devices.
To be suitable for this position you must have:
– An Enhanced DBS Certificate dated within the past 9 months (or registered on the update service)
– Up to date mandatory training certificates
– Full up-to-date CV
– Referenceable working history with a minimum of 6 months of UK based experience within a residential care setting
If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!
