We are looking to expanding our overnight cover in Matlock and seeking dedicated Night Care Assistants for 20:00 to 08:00 shifts.
This role is built around flexibility—you choose the nights that suit your schedule, allowing you to maximize your days off while providing essential, comforting support when our residents need it most.
Key Responsibilities
• Overnight Vigilance: Perform regular, unobtrusive welfare checks throughout the night to ensure resident safety and peace of mind.
• Prompt Support: Respond swiftly to call bells, assisting with nocturnal movements, bathroom requests, and soothing residents experiencing restless nights.
• Evening & Morning Routines: Assist late risers settling down at 20:00 and help early risers prepare comfortably before the daytime team arrives at 08:00.
• Digital Logging & Handovers: Keep accurate digital logs of nightly observations and lead the morning handover brief to incoming staff.
• Environment Maintenance: Complete light night-duty tasks, including laundry routines and preparing quiet areas for the day ahead.
To be suitable for this position you must have:
– An Enhanced DBS Certificate dated within the past 9 months (or registered on the update service)
– Up to date mandatory training certificates
– Full up-to-date CV
– Referenceable working history with a minimum of 6 months of UK based experience within a residential care setting
