Looking for full 12-hour shifts that give you more full days off during the week?
We are looking for Care Assistants to cover 08:00 to 20:00 long day shifts across flexible days Monday through Sunday.
Whether you want to work set days each week or pick up shifts around your existing commitments, this role gives you full control over your work-life balance while delivering high-quality care in the Matlock area.
How You’ll Spend Your Day
• Full-Day Support: Guide residents through their entire daily routine—from morning wakeup and personal care to lunchtime dining, afternoon engagement, and evening settling routines.
• Meals & Refreshments: Assist with breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, encouraging healthy hydration and dining interaction throughout the 12-hour shift.
• Companionship & Activities: Support residents in joining daytime social events, outdoor garden visits, or quiet afternoon hobbies.
• Digital Documentation: Log daily care notes, mobility updates, and fluid records on the electronic care system.
• Handover Participation: Receive the morning brief at 08:00 and deliver a thorough end-of-day update to the incoming night team at 20:00.
To be suitable for this position you must have:
– An Enhanced DBS Certificate dated within the past 9 months (or registered on the update service)
– Up to date mandatory training certificates
– Full up-to-date CV
– Referenceable working history with a minimum of 6 months of UK based experience within a residential care setting
