This lovely, newly extended care home is looking for enthusiastic Care Assistants to assist in the support of elderly people with Age Related Illnesses. You will be expected to take part in activities around the home and ensuring that the residents have a good quality of life. You will be attending to their activities of daily living and will be dealing with clients with a wide range of physical and mental disabilities related to age. Dementia care experience would be advantageous but not essential.
Daily tasks will include:
• Attend to client’s activities of daily living ensuring that they are always hydrated and comfortable.
• General Housekeeping duties around the home such as laundry and cleaning residents’ rooms.
• Observations of client’s conditions and reporting accordingly using the company’s reporting systems
• Always complying with health and safety in a professional manner
For this role, you must have;
– A least 3 months experience in a Care setting.
– A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service, or the facilities to pay for a DBS at a cost of £49.50
– Relevant mandatory training such as Moving and Handling, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control and Food Hygiene, ideally with the certificates to prove this dated within the past 9 months or we can assist you to access online training platforms so you can gain the relevant training.
– Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
