My client in the Retford area is seeking Support Workers with an interest in Mental Health to work Night Shifts. This home supports young women with various Mental Health Problems such as Schizophrenia, Severe Anxiety and Depression and/or issues with Substance Abuse. This role can be very demanding but rewarding. There are residents with some form of Learning Difficulties so experience in this area is desirable but not essential. Night-time can be especially challenging for the residents so you will need to be available for them, meeting their needs.

Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the clients with their personal care needs if required, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are met, always maintaining their dignity.
• Follow individualised care and activity plans to meet their residents unique physical and emotional needs.
• Complete logs throughout the day and report accurately to maintain seamless continuity of care.
• Work effectively and professionally alongside the existing care team in performing checks regularly throughout the shift.

What We Are Looking For
• Previous experience with dealing with people with Mental Health Issues is desirable but not essential.
• An empathetic, patient, and highly motivated attitude towards care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy.

Hourly Rate: The rates of pay for this role are £13.76 per hour. You will also acrue up to 28 days paid holiday per year for time served.
Working Hours: Shift times are:- Days - 1400 to 2000 Other shifts are available on request.

Experience & Qualifications

For this role, you must have;

– A least 3 months experience in an Elderly Care environment
– A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service, if not we can perform a DBS on your behalf at a cost of £49.50
-Up to Date relevant mandatory training in Moving and Handling, Infection Control and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and ideally the certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
– Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
– The Enthusiasm to make a difference
