This large care home that is split over two buildings, is looking for Care Assistants with at least a three month grounded knowledge in Care and willing to deliver a high standard of care with the support of the existing team of Carers. This home caters for elderly residents with Dementia related illnesses in a purpose-built secure unit and Illnesses associated with the Elderly and is split over two buildings.
You will be expected to take part in the daily activities of the home, encouraging the residents to take part. You will also be expected to take part in general housekeeping duties such as laundry and cleaning residents’ rooms.
Key Responsibilities
• Delivering personal care, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are met, ensuring the dignity of all residents.
• Follow individualised care plans precisely to meet the unique physical and emotional needs of each resident.
• Completing logs and reporting any issues as they arise.
• Work effectively and professionally alongside the existing care team.
What We Are Looking For
• Previous experience in a residential or elderly care setting is essential.
• An empathetic, patient, and highly motivated attitude towards care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing essential paperwork.
For this role, you must have;
– A minimum of 3 months experience in a Care environment
– A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront
– All relevant mandatory training up-to-date and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
– Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
– A passion to make a difference
– Assist with medication rounds using MAR charts and boxed medications.
