Our client in the Whitwell area of Worksop is seeking experienced Support Workers to work within their Care Home supporting their regular care staff in providing a high standard of care. This care home has the facilities for up to 5 residents in an extended bungalow setting. They specialise in supporting individuals with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and promotes independent living skills. As an experienced Support Worker, it is desirable that you have experience of dealing with clients with Autistic Spectrum Disorders or have a good understanding of this.

Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the clients with their personal care if required, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are met, always maintaining their dignity.
• Follow individualised care and activity plans to meet their unique physical and emotional needs of each client.
• Complete daily paperwork, logs, and reports accurately to maintain seamless continuity of care.
• Work effectively and professionally alongside the existing care team.

What We Are Looking For
• Previous experience with Autism and Learning Difficulties is desirable but not essential.
• An empathetic, patient, and highly motivated attitude towards care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy.

Hourly Rate: Rates of pay are £12.99 per hour. You will also accrue up to 28 days paid holiday per year.
Working Hours: Shift times are:- Afternoons – 1445 to 2100 The client does expect some flexibility over finish times to cover hand over periods. Other shifts are available on request.

Experience & Qualifications

For this role, you must have;
– A minimum of 3 months experience in a Care environment with Autism Awareness being desirable.
– A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront.
– All relevant mandatory training up-to-date and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
– Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
– A passion to make a difference
– Some form of Safety Intervention training is also desirable.
