Our client in the Whitwell area of Worksop is looking for experienced Support Workers to work various shifts over the weekend period. This care home has the facilities for up to 5 residents and they specialise in supporting individuals with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Learning Difficulties. Their aim so to assist their residents in living a varied but fulfilling life, promoting independent living skills. As an experienced Support Worker, it is desirable that you have experience of dealing with clients with Autism and Learning Difficulties or have a good understanding of this.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the clients with their personal care if required, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are met, always maintaining their dignity.
• Follow individualised care and activity plans to meet their residents unique physical and emotional needs of each client.
• Complete logs throughout the day and report accurately to maintain seamless continuity of care.
• Work effectively and professionally alongside the existing care team in performing checks throughout the night.
What We Are Looking For
• Previous experience with Autism and Learning Difficulties is desirable but not essential.
• An empathetic, patient, and highly motivated attitude towards care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy.

For this role, you must have;
– A minimum of 3 months experience in a Care environment with Autism Awareness being desirable.
– A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront.
– All relevant mandatory training up-to-date and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
– Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
– A passion to make a difference
– Some form of Safety Intervention training is also desirable.
