Desperately seeking Support Workers for immediate starts!
Our client is looking for Experienced Support Workers to work in this fantastic Victorian Style home. They cater for four Adults with Autism and Learning Difficulties. Epilepsy Awareness is desirable but not essential. You will be assisting in the residents with their activities of daily living. You will do regular checks throughout the Night always ensuring their safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the residents with their personal care, ensuring their comfort and dignity is always maintained.
• Follow their residents individualised care plans using their bespoke reporting system to document their activities.
• Work effectively alongside the existing care team to offer their residents a range of activities.
What We Are Looking For
• Previous experience in a Residential or Learning Difficulties care setting is essential due to the nature of their clientele.
• A kind and patient attitude to their care and highly motivated to assist them lead their best lives.
• Good communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and understanding.
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
For this role, it is essential that you have;
– At least months experience in a Care environment.
– An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service is an advantage. If you don’t, don’t worry we can help if you have the facility to pay for one upfront at the cost of £49.50.
– All relevant mandatory training in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to gain access to online training platforms.
– 2 years referenceable work experience
