This large, newly build care home is spread out over 3 floors and boasts that it even has its own pub! They offer Residential, Dementia care as well as Respite and day care. This role is very varied with no two days are the same. As an Experienced Care Assistant, you will be assisting in the residents with their activities of daily living, including personal care and nutritional needs. You will also take part in the home’s daily activity sessions, entertain the residents to assist them in living their best lives.

Key Responsibilities
• Delivering personal care, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are met at all times, ensuring the dignity of all residents.
• Follow their specifically tailored care plans, reporting any issues immediately.
• Record actions accurately and reporting any issues immediately.
• Work effectively alongside the existing care team to offer their residents a range of activities to enhance their day.

What We Are Looking For
• Previous experience in a residential or elderly care setting is essential.
• An empathetic, patient, and highly motivated attitude towards care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and understanding.
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Hourly Rate: The hourly rate starts at £13.07 to £15.12 depending on shift worked. Premium rates are paid on bank holidays.
Working Hours: Shift Times are:- Days – 0700 to 1430 Afternoons - 1400 to 2100 Nights - 2100 to 0700.

Experience & Qualifications

For this role, you must have;
– 3 to 6 months experience in a Care environment
– A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront
– All relevant mandatory training in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
– Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
– A passion to make a difference
