Job Description

Earn up to £14.00 per hour as an experienced care assistant working weekends!

We are looking for Care Assistants local to the Ripley area to provide weekend cover at a care home within the rural area of Ripley. The home is surrounded by secure gardens just off a quiet road.

The home accommodates elderly service users, some of which may be suffering with dementia. The rooms are furnished to a high standard, and the residents are encouraged to bring their own items into the home to make their rooms more homely.

Duties include:
– Following personal care plans
– Maintaining health and safety standards and complying with requirements of the home
– General housekeeping and domestic duties
– Reporting condition updates and recording fluid intakes
– Helping patients remain as independent as possible and catering to their likes and dislikes
– Assisting with daily living activities including morning and night-time routines
– Working alongside support workers and care works to provide a complex care package tailored to individual needs
– Toileting/bed bathing and strip washing the service users

Hourly Rate: The rate of pay for a Care Assistant will be: Days – Saturday to Sunday £13.50 per hour Nights – Saturday to Sunday £14.00 per hour
Working Hours: We are looking for ad-hoc day and night cover over the weekend for sickness and holiday cover with typical hours being: Early: 06:45 to 14:30 Late: 14:15 to 22:00 Nights: 21:45 to 07:00

Experience & Qualifications

To demonstrate your experience and suitability for the role of Care Assistant you will need:
– An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
– Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving & Handling training
– A Referenceable work history
– At least 3 months experience within a formal care home setting

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!
