In this position you will be caring for elderly residents some of which do have Alzheimer’s, so experience within this environment would be desirable. You will be assisting with all personal hygiene of the residents such as toileting, bathing and dressing. You may be asked to assist with some domestic duties, but this will be outlined by the home manager.
Other duties may include the following: –
• Promoting my independence
• Supporting a full range of nightly routines
• Developing individuals’ life skills and personal interests
• Assisting with healthy lifestyle choices
• Helping with personal care needs
• Manual handling
• Supporting medication
• Ensuring record keeping is always maintained to the required standard and contributing to service monitoring requirements

To be considered for this role you must have the following: –
• A current enhanced DBS/CRB check, dated within the last 12 months
• Experience in care homes including one to one
• A certificate in Moving and Handling
• Three months UK working experience working in a similar role
• Right to Work
• Proof of address – 3 months
• 2 references from a professional/business
