Night Senior Care Assistant

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to cover night shifts at a beautiful care home in Heanor. This ongoing role offers weekly paid hours and an immediate start, providing vital support to the existing team.

In this position, you will be responsible for delivering the highest standard of personal care and attention to residents, following individual care plans using PCS software. You will ensure all interactions are warm, respectful, and supportive, while maintaining strict adherence to Health and Safety protocols, including COSHH, Food Hygiene, and Infection Control. You will also be administering medication using Atlas eMAR and liaising with other healthcare professionals to meet residents’ needs.

Confidentiality is key, and you will be expected to handle all personal information and incidents with discretion. As a senior team member, you will provide hands-on support throughout the night, ensuring all duties are completed and the team is well-supported. Participation in handovers is essential to ensure continuity of care between night and day teams.

Experience & Qualifications

To be suitable for this position you must have:

– An Enhanced DBS Certificate
– NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care
– Up to date mandatory training certificates
– Full up-to-date CV
– A minimum of 1 years’ experience working as a senior care assistant within a 20+ bed care home.
– A referenceable work history
– A bubbly and outgoing personality and a true passion to make the lives of those under your care as fulfilling as possible.

Previous experience with both Atlas eMAR and PCS is preferred but not essential.
