Senior Care Assistant – A Role with Purpose and Impact Location: Heanor, Ilkeston & Ripley | Day Shifts Only

Are you an experienced Senior Care Assistant seeking a new opportunity where your expertise and compassion truly make a difference? We are looking for someone just like you to join our dedicated team, supporting care homes across the Heanor, Ilkeston, and Ripley areas.

Your key responsibilities will include delivering exceptional personal care in line with individual care plans, using PCS software to ensure accuracy and consistency. You will administer medication safely and efficiently, with accurate documentation via Atlas eMAR. Upholding all Health & Safety standards, including COSHH, Food Hygiene, and Infection Control protocols, will be essential. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet the evolving needs of residents, maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of care, and provide hands-on support to care teams, ensuring daily tasks are completed to a high standard. Leading and participating in handovers to ensure continuity and clarity in resident care will also be part of your role.

Hourly Rate: You will be paid £13.25 per hour
Working Hours: You will working days between Monday to Sunday with typical hours being: 06:45 to 14:30 or 14:15 to 22:00

Experience & Qualifications

To be suitable for this position you must have:

– An Enhanced DBS Certificate
– NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care
– Up to date mandatory training certificates
– Full up-to-date CV
– A minimum of 1 years’ experience working as a senior care assistant within a 20+ bed care home.
– A referenceable work history
– A bubbly and outgoing personality and a true passion to make the lives of those under your care as fulfilling as possible.

Previous experience with both Atlas eMAR and PCS is preferred but not essential.

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!
