Job Description

Immediate start for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to cover night-time hours at a beautiful care home with the role offering weekly paid hours!

We are looking for an experienced senior care assistant for an ongoing role providing cover for the existing team in a care home based in Heanor.

Key Responsibilities
• Providing the highest level of personal care and attention to the service users, following care plans carefully using PCS software whilst ensuring that all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive.
• Ensuring adherence to all aspects of Health and Safety including COSSH, Food Hygiene and Infection control.
• Administering medication to service users and recording this on Atlas eMAR.
• To liaise with other care professionals relating to the care needs of the residents.
• To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident’s personal information at all times, this includes resident’s behaviour and actions and any incidents that may occur in the course of day-to-day care.
• Ensuring the team are supported during the night as required and taking a hands-on role to ensure that all night-time duties are completed.
• Participating in handovers to ensure that all relevant information is passed onto / received from the day team.

Experience & Qualifications

To be suitable for this position you must have:

– An Enhanced DBS Certificate
– NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care
– Up to date mandatory training certificates
– Full up-to-date CV
– A minimum of 1 years’ experience working as a senior care assistant within a 20+ bed care home.
– A referenceable work history
– A bubbly and outgoing personality and a true passion to make the lives of those under your care as fulfilling as possible.

Previous experience with both Atlas eMAR and PCS is preferred but not essential.
