QS care are looking for an experienced support worker to join their team to work closely with one of clients and their established team.
Our client provides high quality support to individuals who have been diagnosed with mental health illnesses, some of which are down to drug or alcohol addiction.
Your duties will include:
•Follow the policies and procedures set out by the service in which you are working to ensure you maintain a safe environment for all services users, other staff and yourself.
•Ensure you understand the needs and requirements of each services user you are supporting, following the detailed care plan in-situ and reporting any changes to their situation effectively so that their support plans can be updated to remain accurate and ensure the safety of staff working and the service users.
•You will be required to document and report any concerns which may arise, effectively and efficiently.
•Help support the service users with their day-to-day routine, always encouraging and promoting independence, choice and dignity.
•Assist with nutritional needs/ demands.
•Encourage and engage in activities to develop life skills.
To be suitable for this position you must have:
– An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
– Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving & Handling training
– A Referenceable work history
– At least 3 months experience within a similar setting
If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!
