Working Hours: Averaging 40 hours per week. A 3-week rotating shift pattern, generally involving 2-3 shifts per week. Shifts between 08:30 and 22:00.

Experience & Qualifications

1.Safeguarding of Vulnerable Children: This involves understanding how to protect children from harm, abuse, and neglect. It’s crucial for anyone working with children.
2.First Aid: Having basic first aid knowledge is essential in case of emergencies. It helps you respond effectively to injuries or health issues.
3.Food Hygiene: This ensures that you understand safe food handling practices, especially if you’re involved in preparing or serving food to children.
4.GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): Familiarize yourself with data protection laws. GDPR governs how personal data is handled, stored, and processed.
5.Health & Safety: Understand health and safety regulations specific to childcare settings. This includes risk assessments, fire safety, and maintaining a safe environment.
7.3 Months Experience in a Similar Role: Having practical experience working with children in a residential childcare setting is valuable.
8.Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) on the Update Service: This background check ensures you’re suitable to work with children. Being on the Update Service means your DBS certificate is continuously updated.
