• Provide comprehensive support to children in residential care, addressing their personal needs and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Engage in various tasks, including cooking, cleaning, driving children to school, assisting with homework, managing medication, and attending health appointments.
• Collaborate with a team to update care plans, complete risk assessments, and maintain consistent care for each child.
• Plan and organize events, activities, and holidays tailored to the specific interests and needs of the children.
• Receive training in de-escalation and behaviour management techniques, such as Team Teach, to effectively support dysregulated children.
• Pursue professional development, including a level 4 diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce and in-house therapeutic training.
• Mandatory training includes safeguarding, first aid, food hygiene, GDPR, and health & safety.

Working Hours: Averaging 40 hours per week. A 3-week rotating shift pattern, generally involving 2-3 shifts per week. 08:30-22:00

Experience & Qualifications

You will be required to have the following:
Safeguarding of Vulnerable children, first aid, food hygiene, GDPR, and health & safety, Level 3 diploma or equivalent in Residential Childcare.
3 months experience working within a similar role
