We are looking for an experienced Support worker to provide cover for night-time hours within a short break/ respite service. The service specialises in learning disabilities. Located within Newhall the service boosts good links to public transport as well as good access to local amenities.
You will be providing care and support to the residents.
Duties include:
– Following personal care plans
– Maintaining health and safety standards
– General housekeeping and domestic duties
– Recording observations.
– Assisting the residents as required throughout the day
Some challenging behaviours may occur, so we are looking for people who are calm and capable under pressure and familiar with how to identify the signs and de-escalate accordingly.

To be suitable for this position you must have:
– An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
– Up to date mandatory training certificates (issued within the past 12 months)
– Ability to provide 2 care references (including one from your most recent employer) covering a minimum of 2 years
– Previous experience supporting service users with Autism and Learning Disabilities
– Full and up-to-date CV with any gaps in employment noted and explained.
