We have an immediate start opportunity for an experienced Support Worker to work within an autism specific day service based in Heanor, Derbyshire.

Can you offer positive and empowering support work for adults and young people with Autism?
Do you have a passion for helping people to become more independent and to have more choice and control?

The home offers a wide range of structured activities based on individual requirements and interests. As a care worker, you will be assisting service users with daily tasks, such as dressing and eating.

You will help the service users live as independently as possible. You will ensure that physical and psychological wellbeing is the utmost priority.

Experience & Qualifications

To demonstrate your experience and suitability for the role of Support Worker you will need:
– An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
– Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving & Handling training
– A Referenceable work history
– At least 3 months experience of supporting service users with moderate to severe learning disabilities

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!
