Are you a person that likes to lead by example?

This immaculately dressed care home is looking for Senior Care Assistants with a grounded knowledge in Care and willing to lead a shift with the support of the nursing staff. This home caters for elderly residents with Dementia related illnesses and Illnesses associated with the Elderly.

You are expected to lead the staff in a professional and competent manner. You will still be expected to assist the residents with all their care needs, being respectful and empathetic at all times. Key Responsibilities
• Delivering personal care, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are met, ensuring the dignity of all residents.
• Follow individualised care plans precisely to meet the unique physical and emotional needs of each resident.
• Complete daily paperwork, logs, and reports accurately to maintain seamless continuity of care.
• Work effectively and professionally alongside the existing care team.

What We Are Looking For
• Previous experience in a residential or elderly care setting is essential.
• An empathetic, patient, and highly motivated attitude towards care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing essential paperwork.

Duration: We have ongoing hours available and potentially a permanent role for the right candidates!
Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: Rates of pay are £14.05 10 £15.50 per hour. Other shifts are available at premium rates. You will also accrue up to 28 days paid holiday per year.
Working Hours: Shift times are:- Days – 0700 to 1430 Afternoons – 1400 to 2130 Nights – 2100 to 0730. Weekday shifts are available on request, especially bank holidays.

Experience & Qualifications

For this role, you must have;
– A minimum of 3 months experience in a Care environment
– A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront
– All relevant mandatory training up-to-date and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
– Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
– A passion to make a difference
– Assist with medication rounds using MAR charts and boxed medications.
