Desperately seeking experienced Care Assistants with a love of working with The Elderly?
This lovely care home set on picturesque grounds, is looking for experienced Care Assistants with a grounded knowledge in Elder Care.
You will be performing regular checks throughout the night ensuring the residents have good sleep hygiene. You are expected to deal with the residents with care, respect and empathy ensuring they have a good quality of life. You will also be expected to do general housekeeping duties such as laundry, ironing and cleaning of the communal areas.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting individuals with their personal care when required, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are met, maintaining the dignity of all residents.
• Follow individualised care plans precisely to meet the unique physical and emotional needs of each resident.
• Complete logs, reporting accurately and highlighting issues as they come up.
• Work effectively and professionally alongside the existing care team.
What We Are Looking For
• Previous experience in a residential or elderly care setting is essential.
• An empathetic, patient, and highly motivated attitude towards care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing essential paperwork.
For this role, you must have;
– A minimum of 3 months experience in a Care environment
– A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront
– All relevant mandatory training in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control, Moving and Handling and health and Safety, ideally with certificates to show for this dates within the last 6 months or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
– Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
