Urgently seeking experienced Support Workers, are you interested in a role where you are expected to spend time in the community, taking part in various fun activities?
This lovely home that caters for young adults with Autism and Learning Difficulties and they are looking for Support Workers with at least 3 months experience. You are expected to deal with the residents with respect and empathy ensuring they live their best life. You will be expected to take part in the daily activities, inside and outside the home.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the residents with their personal care, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are maintained, ensuring the dignity of all residents.
• Follow individualised care plans precisely to meet the residents unique physical and emotional needs.
• Complete logs, reporting accurately. If any issues are raised report to the person in charge as soon as possible.
• Work effectively and professionally alongside the existing care team to assist them to enhance their resident’s lives.
What We Are Looking For:
• At least three months experience in a residential setting is essential.
• An empathetic, patient, and highly motivated attitude towards support.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive and situations with empathy.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing essential paperwork.
For this role, you must have;
– A minimum of 3 months experience in a Care environment
– A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront at the cost of £49.50.
– All relevant mandatory training in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control, Moving and Handling and Health and Safety, ideally with the certificates dated within the last 6 months, or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
