This newly refurbished care home is looking for Carers with at least three months in Care that are flexible in their approach to fit into the established Care Team. This home has a wing dedicated to Dementia related illnesses, and other wings that specialise in Parkinson’s Disease and illnesses associated with the Elderly.
You are expected to always deal with the residents with respect and empathy, ensuring they have a good quality of life. You will be expected to perform household tasks during the night such as Laundry, General Cleaning and preparing the home for the day ahead.
Key Responsibilities
• Delivering personal care, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are met, ensuring the dignity of all residents.
• Follow individualised care plans precisely to meet the unique physical and emotional needs of each resident.
• Complete logs, reporting accurately to maintain seamless continuity of care.
• Work effectively and professionally alongside the existing care team to perform Night checks as per the resident’s care plan.
What We Are Looking For:
• At least three months previous experience in a residential or elderly care setting is essential so you can hit the ground running.
• An empathetic, patient, and highly motivated attitude towards care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing essential paperwork.
For this role, you must have;
– A minimum of 3 months experience in a Care environment
– A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront.
– All relevant mandatory training up-to-date and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
– Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
– A passion to make a difference to an individual’s life.
