DESPERATELY SEEKING SUPPORT WORKERS!!

My client in the Retford area is seeking Support Workers with an interest in Mental Health. This home supports young women with various Mental Health Problems such as Schizophrenia, Severe Anxiety and Depression and/or issues with Substance Abuse. This role can be very demanding but rewarding. There are residents with some form of Learning Difficulties so experience in this area is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the clients with their personal care needs if required, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are met, always maintaining their dignity.
• Follow individualised care and activity plans to meet their residents unique physical and emotional needs.
• Complete logs throughout the day and report accurately to maintain seamless continuity of care.
• Work effectively and professionally alongside the existing care team in performing checks regularly throughout the shifts.

What We Are Looking For
• Previous experience with dealing with people with Mental Health Issues is desirable but not essential.
• An empathetic, patient, and highly motivated attitude towards care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy.

No two days are the same, so you will need to use a flexible approach to the resident’s care.

Hourly Rate: Rates of pay are £12.76 per hour. You will also accrue up to 28 days paid holiday per year.
Working Hours: Shift times are:- Day Shifts – 0800 to 2000 Other shifts are available on request.

Experience & Qualifications

For this role, you must have;
– A minimum of 3 months experience in a Care environment with Mental Health Awareness being desirable but not essential.
– A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront.
– All relevant mandatory training up-to-date and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
– Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
– A passion to make a difference
– Some form of Safety Intervention training is also desirable.
