Our client is looking for experienced Care Assistants to work in the Staveley Area to start work immediately. They provide a secure residential setting that has the facilities for 32 residents and specialise in Old Age. You will be working within this busy residential care home working as part of the team, providing a high standard of care at all times.

As an Experienced Care Assistant, you will be assisting in the resident’s activities of daily living, including aspects of personal care. You will also take part in the homes daily activity sessions to entertain the residents. You will also be expected to take part in the daily housekeeping duties of the home such as serving meals, feeding residents and laundry duties.

Key Responsibilities
• Delivering personal care, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are met at all times, ensuring the dignity of all residents.
• Follow individualised care plans precisely and reporting any issues immediately.
• Complete daily paperwork, logs, and reports accurately to maintain seamless continuity of care.
• Work effectively and professionally alongside the existing care team.

What We Are Looking For
• Previous experience in a residential or elderly care setting is essential.
• An empathetic, patient, and highly motivated attitude towards care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and understanding.
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Hourly Rate: The hourly rate starts at £12.71 rising to £16.90 after 1900. Premium rates are paid for bank holidays.
Working Hours: Shift Times are:- Nights - 2200 to 0700 Other shifts are available on request.

Experience & Qualifications

For this role, you must have;
– A minimum of 3 months experience in a Care environment
– A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront
– All relevant mandatory training in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
– Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
– A passion to make a difference
