Are you looking for a role with an immediate start?

My Team is looking for experienced Care Assistants to work in the Staveley Area of Chesterfield. They provide care for 32 residents and specialise in Old Age. You will be working within this busy residential care home working as part of the team, providing a high standard of care at all times.

As an Experienced Care Assistant, you will be assisting in the residents with their activities of daily living, including personal care and nutritional needs. You will also take part in the home’s daily activity sessions, entertain the residents to assist them in living their best lives.

Key Responsibilities
• Delivering personal care, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are met at all times, ensuring the dignity of all residents.
• Follow their specifically tailored care plans, reporting any issues immediately.
• Complete logs accurately and correctly to maintain seamless continuity of care.
• Work effectively alongside the existing care team to offer their residents the best quality of life possible.

What We Are Looking For
• Previous experience in a residential or elderly care setting is essential.
• An empathetic, patient, and highly motivated attitude towards care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and understanding.
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Hourly Rate: The hourly rate starts at £12.71 to £17.64 depending on shift worked. Premium rates are paid on bank holidays.
Working Hours: Shift Times are:- Days – 0700 to 1415 Afternoons 1400 to 2200 Nights - 2200 to 0700

Experience & Qualifications

For this role, you must have;
– 3 to 6 months experience in a Care environment
– A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront
– All relevant mandatory training in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
– Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
– A passion to make a difference
