This lovely Nursing Unit is looking for experienced Healthcare Assistants to work alongside the established Nursing and Care staff. They are looking for enthusiastic Care Workers that enjoy supporting elderly people with Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia Care Needs. Dementia care experience would be advantageous but not essential.
Daily tasks will include:
• Attend to client’s mental and health needs in a calm, caring manner ensuring their dignity is respected at all times.
• General housekeeping duties such as laundry and cleaning client’s rooms and the communal areas.
• You are expected to observe the resident’s conditions and reporting accordingly using the company’s reporting systems
• You must comply with the homes health and safety policy at all times in a professional manner.
For this role, you must have;
– A least 3 months experience in a Care setting.
– A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service, or the facilities to pay for a DBS at a cost of £49.50
– Relevant mandatory training such as Moving and Handling, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control and Food Hygiene, ideally with the certificates to prove this dated within the past 9 months or we can assist you to access online training platforms so you can gain the relevant training.
– Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
– The willingness to make a difference.
