The home specializes in supporting elderly residents living with age-related illnesses such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s, focusing on helping them remain as independent as possible.

What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting residents with their daily living activities, including morning and night-time routines.
• Providing high-quality personal care, including assisting with toileting, bed bathing, and strip washing.
• Following personalized care plans and collaborating with support workers to deliver tailored care packages.
• Handling light housekeeping, maintaining health and safety standards, and keeping accurate records like fluid intakes.

What we need from you:
• Previous experience working as a Care Assistant (experience with Dementia care is a big plus).
• A dedicated, reliable nature and a commitment to catering to the individual likes and dislikes of residents.
• An enhanced DBS check (or we can help you get one sorted quickly).

Hourly Rate: You will be paid £12.71 per hour, increasing to £13.33 per hour after a settling in period, with further enhancements for unsociable hours!
Working Hours: Typical hours on Saturday and/or Sunday will include: 07:00 to 14:30 14:30 to 22:00

Experience & Qualifications

To apply for this role you must;
– Have two employment references, one of which must be from a care home setting
– Hold in-date mandatory training certificates (inc. moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection control)
– Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service.
– Have a range of experience in the use of Hoists, Slings and Rotundas
– Have a minimum of 6 months paid UK work experience working within a residential care home.
– Be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
