Support Worker - Day Help needed

Job Description

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support.
As a support worker with us you’ll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

As a support worker you can be sure that no two days will be the same!
Additional duties may include the following: –
1. Personalised Care: Follow and support each resident’s personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
Health and Wellbeing: Keep a close eye on residents’ health, communicating any concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and helping with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued, respected and cared for.
Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.

Working Hours: Your typical hours will start at 07.00 and finish at 14.00 or start at 14.00 and finish at 22.00 Monday to Friday

Experience & Qualifications

To be considered for this rewarding role you must have the following: –

• You must have proven experience within a similar care environment
• Have a checkable work history
• Have up to date mandatory training documents, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Moving & Handling, and Infection Control. Should you not have up to date certificates we can offer online training, with an added fee
• Have an in date enhanced DBS check, if your DBS have expired, we can offer the facility to arrange a new one for you.
