The rate of pay is £9 per hour on weekdays and £9.50 per hour on weekend days, depending on the shift worked.

Working hours:

You will be working between 08:00 - 14:00 or 14:00 - 20:00, with shifts available throughout the week. Long days and nights are also available upon request.

Job Description

Great opportunity for experienced Support Workers to cover days in Burton on Trent with competitive weekly pay.

We are looking for experienced residential Support Workers to assist in the daily running of this 10 bed Supported Living Home. You will join a dedicated team of Support Workers that specialise in Learning Difficulties and Mental Health.

As an experienced Support Worker you will be expected to follow each individual’s care plans, reporting any problems accordingly. The home has a programme of structured activities and outings for their service users. Your role is to inspire and motivate these adults to improve their independence and quality of life.

As will all aspects of Care, you will be expected to attend to general housekeeping duties and personal care. You will also be required to complete paperwork accurately and in detail.

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum requirements for Support Workers are: • Safeguarding training within 1 year • Infection Control within 1 year • Moving and Handling training within 1 year • A DBS check for adults services dated within the last 12 months preferably on the update service • A minimum of 3 months experience in a Health and Social Care environment QS Care can provide training opportunities for candidates with training that has expired. Additionally, we can arrange a DBS application on behalf of the candidate where the last check was done over 1 year ago and is not on the update service.
